Fun Time at the Diliberto's

 

This past Saturday we went to the Diliberto's for the wonderful Auburn/Georgia game. Well, we all know how that turned out (Thank goodness Bama lost too). Marlee and Allie had a fun time playing, as usual.

Please Say a Prayer for Allie

Sunday night and all day yesterday Allie was complaining about her right hip, saying ouch and that she had a boo boo on it. My sister was keeping her yesterday, and when she put her in the bath tub, a rash popped up in that area. I called her pediatrician and they said to bring her in just to take a look.
Well, the doctor did his thing and took some X-Rays and blood. He came back and said that the good news was that she didn't have any breaks, bruises or dislocations. She does however have Toxic Synovitis. It is a viral infection in her hip joints that is causing inflammation. She happened to have a cold/cough a week ago that the doctor said has traveled to that part of her body. It is going to have run its course, being viral and all, but we just don't want it to turn into something bacterial. The doctor kept saying that that was the "bad stuff."
Allie is doing really well with it. She is a real trooper, but you can tell she is in pain and doesn't want you to come near that area. It is very tender to the touch.

So, if you would just say a prayer that she will recover quickly from this and that it won't turn into something worse, we would greatly appreciate it. I know you all know how aweful it is to see your child sick or in pain.

I will update on her condition later in the week and let you know how she is doing.

Allie's Birthday Party!

 

This year the party was at JumpZone in Pelham. All of the kids (and grown-ups) had a blast playing in the inflatables. Allie was wide open the whole time and fell out when we got home that afternoon. Bill cannot move his neck this morning! I may be making a trip to the ER this afternoon. Can't wait for that.

Anyway, thanks to everyone who came and thanks for all of the goodies that you gave to Allie. We are truly blessed to have such great friends and family to share this wonderful time with us.

THE Birthday Cake!

 

Of course we had a Nemo theme going on for the party. Bill's mom and Allie's BB made the cake this year and it turned out perfect. It was yummy to eat too.

Allie is obsessed with Finding Nemo. So, of course, we had to go to Disney on Ice. Allie was glued to the ice the whole time and at the end, she started dancing like a wild woman. She ended up spending the night at my parent's house. It was a fun night had by all.

Birthday party is Saturday at JumpZone. I will post pics of that later.

We only went to a couple of houses before we left for Nemo. Allie had a really good time, but she wouldn't say Trick or Treat-she would say CHEESE!! So silly.
